The Year of the Favorites

Thats it, I'm graduated. Right now I am looking for work but it also means I have a lot of free time. So here are the cosplays I'm working on and have planned out for the year.
There have been some cosplays I have been really wanting to make ever since I started cosplaying and THIS IS THE YEAR. ITS HAPPENING. IM EXCITED.
So, here it is, it could totally change but this is what I'm thinking

So my next for sure con is Emerald City Comic Con which isn't until March so I plan to work on these until that time. They should be pretty easy to finish because I have parts of each one done. Also no wigs which makes the whole thing a bit cheaper. It would be awesome if I can afford Wizard World Portland in January, so I could wear one of these then.

Next is Emerald City Comic Con the 27-28th. I already bought my tickets and I am sosososo excited. There are already some great celebrities they have, which will be great. Also this is going to be Hawkgirl con. I decided. So many different versions but they are all awesome Im pretty excited. (I love hawkgirl, all that sass)

The weekend after that is Sakura-con (oh god help me) haha as of now here are my plans. The doctor should be fairly easy. Blake is also close to done so it shouldn't be very hard, ug I just keep getting uninspired, whyyy I love heeerrr. Lastly is female Wild Tiger for a big gender bent Tiger and Bunny group.

Crypicon is in May. I have never been but I have some horror cosplays I want to do. I have been wanting to do a Silent Hill nurse for a really long time and I'm excited to finally have it on a list. Also my other cosplay isnt actually going to be that but I was too lazy to change my picture. I am instead going to do ghost face from scream in the same type of sexy scraped up picture like Freddy.

Im really excited for North West Fan Fest. Its in June so I have some time to make these. The Pokemon cosplay will be with an awesome group of the original legendary birds. Also I'm excited to challenge myself with this cosplay, its gonna be alot and our car will be completely packed with feathery things. The reason I am so excited is because its a "Fan Fest" I figured it would be an appropriate time to cosplay from my two all time favorite games. NO MORE HEROES AND LOLIPO CHAINSAW. I know I probably wont be the best Juliet ever (see Jessica Nigri) but I just love her so much, I MUST cosplay her. Of course also girl Travis Touchdown. I thought about doing another character from the game, but again, I love travis I must cosplay him.

My next con is hopefully AX in late June. I am already planning to be in a Popstar LOL group as Miss Fortune. I hope it pans out, cause it would be a big group and awesome. The next one is a seven deadly sins group which should be fun, also nice and cool for being in california. Next something I have been wanting to do for a while is a Venom Cosplay! I have to design it still but I have some ideas, which might include some cool tentacle things from my back.

So in an ideal awesome life I can stay in Cali for a week or two for both AX and SDCC. I am so in love with Arcade Miss Fortune I need to cosplay her at some point. Since I will already have Venom with me i can just bring it to both cons. Lastly literally the cosplay I have been the most excited about since I started wanting to cosplay. Illiria from Angel. I need to get the contacts situation figured out, but UNNNN SO EXCITED

And of course, super far off, but still a general idea is for PAX. I really want to do Soraka, not only for the awesomness but I'm super excited to do the body paint. Again I can just re-wear miss fortune, or if I find something else to wear. Lastly Mortal Kombat is my favorite fighting game and I always wanted to cosplay from it, but... so much skin... but maybe I can change scarlet up a bit to where I feel comfortable. I just love her.

Okay, thats it. Almost a year of cosplays planned out. I hope I can get them done well and continue to improve. I want to do them justice so look forward to some awesomeness!~

Con Review: Sakura-con

Sakura-con! My very first convention seven years ago. This year, unfortunately, I was not able to complete any of my cosplays I had planned. It was super sad, but I still had a good time. Unfortunately I wasn't able to stay for too long, but I went Friday and Saturday for a few hours.
On Friday I wore Karina from Tiger and Bunny. My friend Amanda was wearing her female Kotetsu cosplay so we walked around together for a little while. I went to the dealers hall for a short while and came across the CUTEST Pokemon prints ever! I absolutely had to buy at least one, although it was hard to not buy all of them. Unfortunately, I didn't catch the name or get a card of the artist because I was just so excited about the picture. On my way out of the dealers hall I grabbed some Taro mochi, and, it was just, just, so bad. I've never tasted worse mochi. After the dealers hall closed I headed to my dad's house and played some video games with him and my boyfriend. We are absolutely addicted to Towerfall Ascension. Its only on Steam and PS4 but it is a great and simple multi-player and is so much fun. After we beat Towerfall Ascension we tried out Trials Fusion, which is just like your old Trials game, but with the feeling of being part aperture labratories. All I have to say to this is "~Welcome to the Futuuuureee. Man, Machine, the Futuuuuurrrreee~"

On Saturday I regrettably slept longer than I expected so didn't spend as much time at con than I wanted. I dressed in a pastel goth outfit I put together, which I was pretty excited about because I really like the style, but never thought I had stuff to make the outfit. I took pictures with some photographers, but haven't gotten any of them back yet. As far as cosplay goes, my friend Amanda finished her Penny cosplay from RWBY and made her cool swords! Pretty awesome! I also ran into my friend Alli who was cosplaying Cowslip Lapras Gijinka which was beautiful! And lastly check out this awesome Police box Transformer~ That's about it for my convention, I wasn't around enough to make very many observations about how the con itself was run, but I have heard on Facebook that it was fairly confusing. My next con is SAN DIEGO COMIC CON! Oh man I'm so excited and a little scared. I'm going with my dad and we only got tickets for Thursday and Sunday, so I'm debating if I should cosplay or not. What do you think?

Con Review: Emerald City Comic Con

It has been just over a week since Emerald City Comic con, but I had to head up to school pretty much right after con, which then, of course, I got sick again… super fun.

Okay, back to ECCC. I went all three days with my friend Amanda and my Dad joined me for some of Saturday.
Friday I started out by getting everything ready to take a picture with Eliza Dushku. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the process, you must buy a ticket to get a picture with any celebrity. After that you wait until the time slot they have and line up, usually people begin lining up 20-30minutes before the time slot because if there isn’t a line the celebrity will leave and not do pictures for the session. Pictures with Eliza were really good, she was super nice and said she liked my Buffy the Vampire Slayer shirt~.
After pictures I walked around and looked at art, I was dressed like Faith from Buffy, which not a lot of people got, but that’s okay cause I found a Spike cosplayer!

Also I got to check out a lot more of the con than I have in the past. There was a huge area dedicated Lego crafts including a moving Lego R2D2. Also, there was an area that I have never been to before that had a bunch of models and figure. They were crazy detailed; one had so much detail you had to look inside of rooms or spaceships. This one I took a picture of is hard to tell, but inside the ship there are cows and fences and an alien, it’s just crazy detailed. These people are lucky I had enough self control not to steal this Venom.

We eventually made it to this area where they had an awesome TARDIS, Faith in the TARDIS, I like it, I want a crossover.
Later that night I went to the ECCC Live Art Event which was super awesome, it’s the first time I have gotten to go, since I recently turned 21. The party was a lot of fun, people in cosplay, artistes on stage painting, drinks, dancing, and friends.  I hung out with my friend Kindra who coincidentally owns the same dress, although she did not wear it.

SATURDAY I cosplayed Supergirl! While I was getting ready my attention was brought to twitter where Yaya Han retweeted one of my tweets where I had wrote that “I had found the Yaya Han booth”, BUT apparently autocorrect secretly changed booth to booty….  oh well, she thought it was funy
I walked around a lot with my friend Amanda who wore her daedric armor. Saturday was incredibly packed which made walking around really difficult and hot, especially with Amanda who had a big helmet and axe. But eventually we made it to Yaya Han’s booth and just said hi and got a picture. Later I did a photo shoot with Raimux Creations and it turned out pretty awesome! I want moar!!!! Haha. But I think the most important thing here is when we were leaving we saw these PUPPIES THAT WERE THE CUTEST THING IN THE WORLD. I’m not kidding, they were the fluffiest, smallest, cutest things ever. I was freaking out. If you couldn’t tell…..

Sunday I dedicated to getting a signature from Alan Tudyk and a picture with Mark Shepard. I got to the line for Alan and it was capped so they told me I couldn’t get in until later, which was a problem because the picture with Mark was in a couple hours. I eventually got in and out of Alan’s line, which he was super cool and nice, but if you know me you know I get flustered around celebrity people, so I’m not sure I kept my cool haha. I headed straight to the photo area to get a picture with Mark, but by the time I got there his line was apparently over, and I wasn’t able to get a picture with him :C Very sad.

I saw alot of really cool cosplayers, and the con even had some posters about anti-harassment of cosplayers which was pretty cool of them.

Overall it was a really fun convention! They had lots of great guests, good booths, and a variety of things to do.  I would only suggest making it less crowded somehow or finding a better way to direct the flow of traffic in-between the booths. I got three different pieces of art

I didnt get their name T_T
